Pittsburgh, PA (December 17, 2024) — Life’sWork of Western PA has received a renewal grant from Milliman Solutions LLC for use in the new, state-of-the-art Life’sWork Vocational Skills Development Lab and in the Life’sWork RECOVER program. Through collaboration with Life’sWork, its partners, and career industries, the Vocational Skills Development Lab opened earlier this year to provide training in six different industries. The lab promotes pride and self-confidence while providing training in both physical and cognitive skills and can be modified to meet each client’s individual needs. The Recovery Employment Connections for Occupations, Vocations, and Employer Resources (RECOVER) program is designed to support individuals recovering from substance abuse on their path as they seek to achieve continued success. With opportunities for vocational assessment and job search support, Life’sWork clients are ready to enter or reenter the workforce, equipping them for success in recovery and in the workplace.
